the old man lost his happiness
said he's tired so tired of loneliness
what remains is all so meaningless
yet every morning he kneels
saying his prayers
every morning he kneels and
carefully chooses his words
just in case there's a God
just in case there's a God
just in case there's a God
old man said he's lived too long
heard all his friend's sing their final song
old man said he's no longer strong
yet before bed each and every night
he does twenty-five sit ups
yet before bed each and every night
he does twenty-five chin ups
saves him from taking sleeping pills
saves him from taking sleeping pills
saves him from taking sleeping pills
just in case there's a God
just in case there's a God
just in case there's a God
the old man lost his happiness
said he's tired so tired of loneliness
what remains is all so meaningless
yet every morning he kneels
saying his prayers
every morning he kneels and
carefully chooses his words
surprised he's still alive
surprised he's still alive
surprised he's still alive
just in case there's a God
just in case there's a God
surprised he's still alive
just in case there's a God
just in case there's a God
